The Gibson Tenor banjos are state of the art reproductions of the classic vintage 1930's flathead tenor banjos. The specifications for each model are the same as those listed on the 5-string banjos page, with the exception that the tenor is a 4 string banjo with 19 frets. The tone ring is an exact reproduction of the early 1930's vintage ring, and the rim is a hard rock 3-ply maple rim. The sound is full and rich and it rings like a bell up the neck. Outstanding playability makes chording up and down the fingerboard easy and fun.
