Janet,
I wanted to give you some feedback on you instruction book. I have been trying to play using different instructional DVDs, CDs, books, online stuff and anything I could get my hands on. And yes I learned some things. But when I got my hands on your book and DVD, the Mel Bay version, my playing improved dramatically. I have gone through the whole book and learned more from it then anything else I tried. My playing technique which you spent time on improved. I can now sit down and play anything I have the tab for. Now I am by no means an advanced player but I can take the tab and make it sound like the song. I still need serious practice on slants and need to increase my speed but after getting a ways through it was a matter of learning the tab cause I can't look at the tab and play without looking at the neck but I am so happy. I have to admit I was getting discouraged until I started working through your book.
I want to thank you for your information and teaching style which got me moving on an interment I truly want to play well. Thank you Ms Davis for the help you provided.
