Hi Janet. I just got the mandolin. It's MORE than beautiful!! And the sound is GREAT. (It competes with a GIBSON F5 I once tried). The case is Great. It protects the mando very well. Hi Janet, I meant to write sooner and let you know I couldn't have been more pleased with my Goldtone mandolin, but all my spare time has been taken up by...well, playing my mandolin.
I think Goldtone is onto something here (this is the banjo maker's first mando, if I remember right). A co-worker of mine brought in his Kentucky 675 last week and we played side by side. The Goldtone simply blew away the Kentucky, both in volume and tone.
The mandolin arrived well-packed and perfectly set up. (I assumed you de-tuned it to make things easy on the neck during shipping...thanks.)
The other customer comments on your page were right on. Great and knowledgeable service. Plus, no one beats your prices.
