Additional Customer Comments
I've been playing the banjo off and on since about 1961 when I was 14 years old, though not regularly enough to really get good. In the 70s I subscribed to the Banjo Newsletter for a year or so, but only learned one song from the Newsletter, and that was your wonderful tablature transcription of Autumn Leaves from July 1979. So within the past week I was delighted to find at Music Villa ("my" local music store) The Ultimate Banjo Songbook, which I promptly purchased. I see that you brought it out in 2005, but it is new to me. I'm extremely impressed with the terrific versions of songs and alternate licks that you have included on the CDs that accompany the book. Anyway, I'm just dropping you a note to say "thank you" for the education that your work is providing me! My first efforts will be to learn verson 1 of How Great Thou Art, which I think sounds terrific the way you play it, and I'm looking forward to working on a number of the other songs you have included. Please accept my heartfelt praise for your work! I'll check your website to look for CDs that you may have recorded, though if you would care to recommend one to start with, I'd value your suggestion(s). Frank
